Outside

The fenced back garden sweeps down to the canal with un-interrupted views of the pretty canal lock as well as the Chateau de Josselin. Garden furniture and patio areas enable you to sit out late into the evening, and watch the world and the boats go by. There is also a front patio area, ideal for that morning coffee and croissant. Both gardens are safe for children as they are fenced and gated. There is ample parking for 4 cars, and the house is situated on both walking and cycling routes.

Chateau

The Chateau de Josselin is a 5 minute walk away and has guided tours in many languages. The canal has water activities and the canal towpath provides a tranquil and enjoyable walking, running or cycling route. Both cycle and footpaths pass directly in front of the house.

Town life

The town is well equipped with butchers, bakeries, grocery stores, cafes and open air squares with restaurants and bars to suit a range of tastes, budgets and ages. There is also a beauty salon on the bridge (3 minutes walk) and the town has pharmacies, opticians, clothes shops, supermarkets, laundrettes, video / dvd hire, takeaways (pizzas made on the premises) and so on. The bustling Saturday market is a must!! The town has it's own park, a "Bois d'Amour" and a number of churches.
